I studied Landscape Design and Dryland Plants with Geoff Smith at Fullerton College. I was a volunteer plant propagator at the Fullerton Arboretum for seven years, and still help out as a native plant consultant at the Potting Shed.  I have made gardens on steep slopes, in sandy soil, coastal areas, large and small residential spaces, and in plain, flat Orange County clay.  I have taught Native Plant Gardening Workshops for Sea and Sage Audubon Society since 2005.
