Saturday Hours Kick-Off October 6, 2007
Fall through spring Tree of Life Nursery is pleased to offer Saturday hours when our retail center, Casa ‘La Paz’, will remain open to the public for plants, books, and art sales. October 6, 2007 we will kick-off the season with a benefit plant sale and the launch of the Sage Advice Workshop series.
Also presenting…
the Sage Advice Workshop Series
Due to an increasing demand for garden advice and information regarding the use of California native plants in the landscape, we are pleased to offer some helpful topical seminars at least once a month throughout the planting season. The first workshop, about beautiful native sages, will take place on October 6, at 11 AM!

New Sage Advice Salvia
Not to be confused with California Sagebrush (Artemisia californica), all true sages are members of the genus Salvia. Aromatic foliage, brightly colored blossoms attractive to hummingbirds and butterflies, fast growth and interesting forms make them good natives to include in any landscape. With growth habits ranging from spreading groundcovers to shrub-sized woody perennials, sages look wonderful planted in masses. They can be used to brighten up a border, to cover a slope, to line a drive or walkway or on their own as an accent or potted plant.
