Landscape Professionals Directory
At Tree of Life Nursery, We Grow California native plants. However, we do not design, plan or install landscapes. So, while we are very familiar with the plants that we grow and we have some notions about plants that go well together, we simply cannot provide the professional level of expertise and service in creating landscape designs that many home-owners, HOA’s, schools and other organizations require.
To assist our clients in finding such landscape professionals, we have posted a list on our website for your use. We asked those individuals who were on our very-casual-and-sometimes-out-of-date landscaper list to furnish a little more information about who they are and the services they provide. We hope that this list will be helpful to those of you who are seeking professional landscaping services.

Replace Your Lawn with California Native Plants: Kill the Grass!
This fall (2008) we held two sessions of our three-part Replace Your Lawn Workshops at Tree of Life Nursery. If you missed any of the workshops, you can catch them next year because we are offering all three sessions again in February and in March… so mark your calendars and tell your friends.
If you missed out, you can now download the helpful handout from our first session.
Replace your Lawn: Step one - get rid of it!
This may be more involved than you would expect and the methods to get rid of a lawn are quite varied. You must identify the type of turf you have, research methods for removal, and then select the method appropriate for the season, your grass type, your work schedule and your budget. The future success of your new planting will depend on your successful removal of the existing turf.
